Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all customers and users of the TaskVocal platform ("Service") and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account. This AUP applies regardless of which country you or your call/message recipients are located in.
1. General Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation in any jurisdiction where you operate or where your recipients are located, including telecommunications, data protection, and consumer protection laws
- Send unsolicited communications to individuals who have not provided appropriate consent, or who have opted out or registered on applicable Do Not Call/Do Not Disturb registries in their jurisdiction
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
- Engage in fraud, phishing, or deceptive practices, including using AI voice agents to impersonate real individuals without disclosure
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or defame any individual
- Transmit malware, conduct unauthorized access attempts, or otherwise compromise the security of the Service
- Collect or process personal data unlawfully, including data belonging to minors without appropriate consent as required in the applicable jurisdiction
2. Voice Calling Requirements
When using TaskVocal's outbound calling functionality, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the calling laws applicable in each jurisdiction you target, including but not limited to:
- India: TRAI's TCCCPR framework and National/State Do Not Call registries
- United States: The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Do Not Call Registry requirements
- European Union / UK: The ePrivacy Directive and applicable national telemarketing regulations
- Equivalent consent, registration, and calling-time regulations in any other jurisdiction you target
You must:
- Obtain and maintain appropriate consent from call recipients in accordance with the applicable law of their jurisdiction
- Ensure call recipients are informed that they are interacting with an AI-generated voice agent, where required by applicable law or where the interaction could reasonably be mistaken for a human conversation
- Maintain and honor accurate Do Not Call (DNC) and suppression lists across all jurisdictions you operate in
- Not use the Service for automated dialing to emergency numbers, or in a manner that could interfere with emergency communications
- Comply with all applicable calling time restrictions under the local regulations of each jurisdiction targeted
3. WhatsApp Messaging Requirements
When using TaskVocal's WhatsApp integration, you must:
- Comply fully with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy, including opt-in and template message requirements, which apply globally
- Only message individuals who have provided valid opt-in consent
- Honor opt-out requests (e.g., "STOP") promptly and maintain suppression records
- Not use WhatsApp messaging for prohibited content categories under Meta's policies (including but not limited to adult content, illegal products, or deceptive financial schemes)
4. Prohibited Industries and Use Cases
Without TaskVocal's prior written consent, you may not use the Service for:
- Political campaigning or election-related communications where such use requires specific regulatory registration you do not hold in the relevant jurisdiction
- Debt collection communications that violate applicable fair debt collection practices (e.g., the US Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or equivalent local law)
- Financial products or investment schemes not duly licensed under applicable law in the target jurisdiction
- Adult content, gambling, or other regulated industries where use of AI calling/messaging is restricted or prohibited by local law
- Any use case involving deceptive AI impersonation intended to defraud or mislead recipients
5. Content Standards
Scripts, prompts, and knowledge base content configured within your AI assistants must not contain unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or misleading content, and must not be used to spread misinformation.
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
TaskVocal reserves the right, but does not assume an obligation, to monitor usage patterns (such as call volumes, complaint rates, and suspicious activity flags) for compliance with this AUP. We may suspend or restrict access to the Service, without prior notice, where we reasonably believe a violation is occurring or has occurred, particularly where continued use poses legal, regulatory, or reputational risk in any jurisdiction.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time, including to reflect new jurisdiction-specific requirements as TaskVocal expands to new markets. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
